Wow... These Days Are Full!!!

I can't believe how busy two babies can keep someone! We didn't go anywhere or do anything today and the day still flew by! Mackenzie is still doing well with Aubrey, every morning she wakes up and asks for her, and I think that's a good sign! Aubrey isn't sleeping too well at night yet, so I'm living for my afternoon nap, but I know this too shall pass!

We just enjoyed a wonderful visit from Nana and Poppop from Florida. They came up and spent the day with us on Friday, part of Sunday, and Monday night they went house hunting with us! We put ANOTHER bid in on ANOTHER house... this is our third time trying... hopefully we'll hear something favorable this time!

On Easter we went to church, the girls wore matching dresses my mom gave them... they were so cute! After church we went to my mom's and she had a little egg hunt set up for Mackenzie, complete with the frilly basket! After lunch, we all hunted for our baskets as well... I'm so glad my mom still hides baskets for us even if I am trying to lose the 20 lbs of baby weight I still have on! After lunch at my moms, we came home and I got a quick nap before we headed over to Jake's sister's for an incredible Easter dinner! It was so much fun getting to spend time with both of our families on the same day!

Mommom and Poppop got to meet Aubrey for the first time at church! Then they came back to my mom's for Easter lunch!

Mackenzie loved hunting for the eggs... she loved it even more when she realized there were marshmallows and jelly beans inside of them!

Mackenzie loved spending so much time with "Nannan" and Poppop! We loved having them come house hunting with us! Their expertise was so great for us to hear and it was so much fun having dad look at old pipes and wiring and deducing the history of the house from that stuff... mom and I would look at each other as Jake and his dad were talking and just marvel at how adorable they are when they're together! Jake is his father's son when it comes to stuff like that, and I am so grateful for all of the knowledge John imparted to Jake... I am so often the beneficiary! (side note: another reason I love Jake's dad is because he is the only man I've ever met who changes dirty diapers without even being asked... and when you have two in diapers any diaper you don't have to change is a real treat!)

You will laugh so hard when you watch this video and see the 12 or so adults that were there cheering on Mackenzie has she looked for her Easter eggs... Amy, Angie... you guys seriously need to do something about this no-cousins-yet situation... Aubrey and Mackenzie are going to be way too spoiled by the time your kids show up... so get the show on the road kids!
One more thing: There is a young girl in our church who is so enthralled with Mackenzie that she wrote a story about her for her homeschool writing assignment. She emailed it to me and I thought it was so cute that I asked her if I could post it on our blog and she said I could. So here it is!
Wonderful Little Girl
By Kristina

There was a mother of a child whose name was Julie Moon and her mother, Mrs. Boettcher, has a kind granddaughter named Mackenzie. Julie’s husband was Jake Moon. Julie’s baby’s name was Mackenzie Moon. Mackenzie was a cute baby. Many people love her. One day Mackenzie went to Kristina’s house. To the park, Kristina played with her and had lots of fun! But the best thing of all was that Mackenzie was her greatest friend! Kristina adores Mackenzie. Then an extremely exciting thing happened which was that Julie became pregnant! Mackenzie, who is a one year old, is a cute little baby. On April 1, 2009 Julie’s other baby was born! Julie named the baby Aubrie. The Baby was a girl! Now at HomeSchoolers Day Out, Mrs. Boettcher is watching Mackenzie because Julie is at the Hospital. While Julie was at the hospital, Mrs. Boettcher was at HDO watching Mackenzie. Knowing that God was with Julie at the hospital, Mrs. Boettcher felt that Julie was safe. Dearly cherished, Mackenzie is very kind. Julie and Mrs. Boettcher have a Wonderful girl to watch!

How sweet is she??

About Me

My photo
I am a sinner saved by grace and I married my best friend, Jake, in May 2005! God has blessed us with three adorable little girls that we get to raise together in a beautiful home in the most charming neighborhood in America! They are a joy to raise and continually make us aware of our need for a Savior! We are thankful the Lord did not leave us in our sin, but sent His Son Jesus to die in our place, bearing the just wrath of God that we deserved, and giving to us Christ's righteousness instead. Through His grace and forgiveness, we now are free to love Him who saved us and to extend the mercy we've been shown to each other. We pray our little ones will come to know Christ and that we will be faithful to proclaim the good news of Jesus to them not only with our words, but with our actions and our interactions with each other. So please enjoy reading about the Moon family, we're so glad you stopped by!
