Kenzie Turns Four!

Singing to her on the day before her birthday... this girl got SO celebrated!Memom came over with birthday presents! Every birthday girl needs a wand!

And craft supplies!

I couldn't get these two to look at the camera at the same time... argghh... but they are both so cute!
Princess jammies!
Silly sisters being silly together!
The morning of Kenzie's actual birthday I let them eat chocolate chip pancakes in front of the tv!

Jake brought home his birthday girl her first thing of flowers!

She was overwhelmed!!!

She said so many nice things about these flowers, it really blessed her that he did this! Some of her quotes were: "Daddy, these flowers are just so gorgeous!" And "Daddy, these flowers are so pretty they make my eyes sparkle!" She just couldn't believe they were so pretty and they were all for her!
Aubrey did great during this whole week long celebration of Kenzie... she loves her sister so much and was so happy for her... their friendship is really a huge answer to prayer! The whole time I was pregnant with Aubrey my biggest prayer request was that they would love each other and they really do!
Before Kenzie opened her stack of presents, we gave Aubrey something that Kenzie had picked out for her!

They both got special "spinny" tooth brushes. Aubrey used hers once and declared it, "Scary!" Oh well...
A Tinkerbell shirt to wear to her Tinkerbell party!
First day of Homeschooler's Day Out!
Aren't they the cutest??
And then my failure of an attempt to make heart shaped cupcakes! I heard if you baked her cupcakes with a marble in the pan next to the liner they would turn out like hearts... instead they just all looked like someone took a bite out of them!!
Scroll down for my post about her party!!

Tinkerbell Party and Amy's Family Shower

Kenzie had a small party with some friends this year. She wanted a Tinkerbell party and it turned out to be a lot of fun to plan! Below is a special treasure chest that Tinkerbell sent just for this special four-year-old's birthday party! When our guests arrived we colored and stickered some Tinkerbell pictures.
Lucy was dressed in a Tinkerbell costume... it was so cute!
Then we made Tinkerbell candy necklaces... Jamie wasn't there to supervise Liv and she kinda went nuts shoveling as much sugar in her mouth as she could before Amy intervened!
Elise and her dear mama, Shana.
Memom and Hannah helping Ella and Alaythia.
The two-year-old's chowing down on their necklaces...
Then we went on a fairy hunt. We had heard that sometimes fairies come to birthday parties and leave little fairy dust trails for the little girls to follow... well wouldn't you know that Tinkerbell herself came to our party and left us a little trail to follow!?!

Picking up fairy dust...

What is this treasure box we found??

It held all their goody bags and then we found out that Tinkerbell left us a pinata too! We had to go fill our bags!
Please notice the wood thing that Jake got on an extension ladder to nail up in our tree! We have no branches to hang a pinata from, so he improvised... and with him, nothing can be a small deal, can it?

Present time!
Then it was time to eat lunch and decorate our own cupcakes!
Singing Happy Birthday the first time... I forgot about a candle on the cupcake so we had to sing again!
Our four-year-old... I swear I just held that baby in my arms for the first time yesterday... where did four years go?

>Love this!
Starting at the top left: Elise, Hannah, Kenzie, Andra (neighbor), Lucy, Aubrey then bottom left is: Liv, Ella, Eden (neighbor), Alaythia, and Maddie
Silly Faces!
Then 2 hours later we headed over to my sister's wonderful surprise baby shower! She was so surprised she didn't even shower first!!

Mr. Di had all sorts of special gifts to give his grandson... the first being his 1st piggy bank...
and the last being a Ralph Lauren Onesie so he can be just like his grandpa!
Amy and our gorgeous cousin, Kristie!
My grandmother is so much fun! She is 71-years-young and has more energy then I do! Here she is teaching Kenzie how to hop like in a sack race!
Kenzie loves Mommom!
And then to end a perfect birthday... we turned off the lights on them while they were in the bath and threw glow sticks in the tub!! The LOVED it!! I think we will have to make birthday baths with glow sticks a birthday tradition... until they are about 6 I guess! Haha... it's going too fast!!! Trying to savor and enjoy every moment!!

About Me

My photo
I am a sinner saved by grace and I married my best friend, Jake, in May 2005! God has blessed us with three adorable little girls that we get to raise together in a beautiful home in the most charming neighborhood in America! They are a joy to raise and continually make us aware of our need for a Savior! We are thankful the Lord did not leave us in our sin, but sent His Son Jesus to die in our place, bearing the just wrath of God that we deserved, and giving to us Christ's righteousness instead. Through His grace and forgiveness, we now are free to love Him who saved us and to extend the mercy we've been shown to each other. We pray our little ones will come to know Christ and that we will be faithful to proclaim the good news of Jesus to them not only with our words, but with our actions and our interactions with each other. So please enjoy reading about the Moon family, we're so glad you stopped by!
