Cracks Me Up!

Mackenzie just keeps cracking me up with all the things she says... two quotes from today are:

Taking Aubrey's face in her hands she says, "Now Aubrey, Listen to me. No crying. Ok, Aubrey?" (Her tone was so sweet and she really was being kind when she did this, her "listen to me" was said patiently like she was trying to serve her sister by giving her an instruction!)

Asking for water in her "bid girl cup" (cup with out a lid), I gave her some and she say, "Mommy, you made this?" "mmmhmm" "Oh, Good Job, Mommy! You did it! You pushed the button!" (meaning I did a great job turning on the faucet! I'll tell you, there is nothing like being encouraged by Mackenzie... she regularly rejoices over the littlest things I do for her! I'm so thankful for my thankful girl!)

Aubrey feels like such a big deal when she plays with this bin on blocks. I thought she was so cute I ran to get my camera and Mackenzie decided that she needed to get hers too so she could take pictures of her "tute" sister.

Notice Mackenzie in the background "checking" her camera to see if her pictures turned out good!
So we decided we're going to go trick or treating this year... we're going to avoid talking about "Halloween" and make it more about Daddy's birthday (which is tomorrow) and tell our kids that "isn't it fun that we get to dress up on Daddy's birthday and go get candy from our neighbors?" We'll do that after naps and then come home for Jake's special birthday dinner. Aubrey is going to be this sweet pea that was Mackenzie's when Mackenzie was only 6 weeks old... it's a much tighter squeeze on Aubrey at 7 months!

Mackenzie was playing with her rubber band board, but decided that putting the rubber bands on as bracelets was much more fun! This is David. I get to babysit him two days a week. He is right in between my girl's ages and totally goes with the flow of our home. We really like having him. Mackenzie likes to hold his hand and say, "Come on, friend!" and then take him with her where ever she feels like playing in the house. I am learning fast though how different boys and girls are. He likes to climb on everything and he turns everything into a drum. Not that Mackenzie doesn't do those things, he just does them a heck of a lot more! I let him feed himself yogurt for breakfast and I had to take this picture for his mom!

Aubrey is moving all over the place now! She can't totally get in the direction she wants to go, but she can really move now. I had put her in the middle of the carpet in the family room and a minute later she was all the way over by the kitchen set!

We have all been kinda sick in our house for the past two days. Mackenzie was the only one with an actual fever, but everyone feels achy and yucky... I hope we're all better tomorrow because we have a sweet pea and a princess who need to collect some candy and a birthday boy who is excited about his birthday brownies!

About Me

My photo
I am a sinner saved by grace and I married my best friend, Jake, in May 2005! God has blessed us with three adorable little girls that we get to raise together in a beautiful home in the most charming neighborhood in America! They are a joy to raise and continually make us aware of our need for a Savior! We are thankful the Lord did not leave us in our sin, but sent His Son Jesus to die in our place, bearing the just wrath of God that we deserved, and giving to us Christ's righteousness instead. Through His grace and forgiveness, we now are free to love Him who saved us and to extend the mercy we've been shown to each other. We pray our little ones will come to know Christ and that we will be faithful to proclaim the good news of Jesus to them not only with our words, but with our actions and our interactions with each other. So please enjoy reading about the Moon family, we're so glad you stopped by!
