Easter Weekend!!

Our weekend started with Ella and Ezra spending the night Friday night and then going on a church egg hunt the following day! The girls were adorable dressed in matching dresses! The one Ella is wearing is Aubrey's... she is so petite though she had no problem fitting in it!

We made "Resurrection Cookies" together. They are neat! Every part of the recipe reminds us about something to do with Easter. Here we are "crushing" the chocolate chips just like Jesus was crushed for us. These cookies led to some great conversation... but my favorite is the conclusion that Mackenzie came to: "Jesus eat our cookies and he get all better! He not dead anymore!!"

Just a little evidence of a one-year-old's presence in our house! (that is trash in the toilet, not a turd. She likes to play in the trash and throw it in the potty! Then she unrolls all the toilet paper and her work is complete!)

Aunt Amy stopped by for a visit on Friday... she is such a great aunt! She and Kenzie got all dressed up and went to the ball!

Easter after church at my mom's... the girls went on an egg hunt after!

Being a little sister herself, Amy made sure Aubrey got her far share of cheerio- filled eggs!

Kenzie loved serving her sister by opening her presents!

We sang Happy Birthday with one of three free cakes I got for her 1st birthday!

She was more interested in feeding herself with her big girl fork than stuffing the whole thing in her mouth!

My dad did the Resurrection Eggs with us after lunch. Mackenzie sat very importantly and seriously on my lap for the whole thing.

"It's EMPTY!! Jesus is ALIVE!!" (still trying to help her understand that Jesus is alive because he is stronger than death... not because he ate her cookies!)

About Me

My photo
I am a sinner saved by grace and I married my best friend, Jake, in May 2005! God has blessed us with three adorable little girls that we get to raise together in a beautiful home in the most charming neighborhood in America! They are a joy to raise and continually make us aware of our need for a Savior! We are thankful the Lord did not leave us in our sin, but sent His Son Jesus to die in our place, bearing the just wrath of God that we deserved, and giving to us Christ's righteousness instead. Through His grace and forgiveness, we now are free to love Him who saved us and to extend the mercy we've been shown to each other. We pray our little ones will come to know Christ and that we will be faithful to proclaim the good news of Jesus to them not only with our words, but with our actions and our interactions with each other. So please enjoy reading about the Moon family, we're so glad you stopped by!
