Our community group had a gathering last Saturday night to carve and paint pumpkins together. The kids all painted their pumpkins in one room and then the couples carved their family pumpkins in the other room. The 30 minute competition was intense...
And the winner was...

The Crisps were so funny! They made a hysterical pumpkin that everyone just loved... including my husband who was the butt of the joke!

On a completely different note... Jake took on the project of installing a sprinkler system in our front yard. We removed one of our little pine trees and when we pulled it up it was covered in termites... Jake had fun putting them to death with a can of WD40 and a lighter!
Our yard is still kinda a pile of dirt... but there is hope of grass next year! The sprinkler system works!!!
I loved these pictures, Julie. It was a great opportunity to see little Sophie Jane. She and Lucy will have so much fun growing up together as cousins. Great to be with you yesterday. Waiting for Amy's baby now.
