Aubrey on Sunday Morning before the glamorizing starts... don't we all feel this way in the morning?

We went to an Easter Egg hunt in our neighborhood and got there a minute late so Mackenzie only got one egg :( We came home and we did our own egg hunt and she's been asking to do it every day since then!

She had to shake them and figure out if it was a cheerio egg filled for Aubrey or a chocolate egg filled for her!

Aubrey thought she died and went to Cheerio heaven!

"Mom, she's touching my eggs!"

"No Aubrey, these are your eggs!"

"Oh no, there go our baskets!"

"Hmm... I think I'll savor this and become a big chocolate kissing monster for mommy!"

Later when a certain big sister was asleep and a certain mommy wasn't paying attention a certain little sister found one of her big sister's chocolate eggs, got through the paper, and devoured the whole thing! I got there in time for the cutest pictures ever though!
So proud of herself while standing!

Chocolate kisses are my favorite kisses!

"Hmph, Aubrey ate my egg..."

When Deedaa (Stephen) came over this weekend we dyed Easter eggs with him... err... more like he played with Aubrey so Kenzie and I could do this together!

She loved this... she thought it was so much fun... don't know what we're going to do with our eggs now that they are all dyed and sitting in the fridge!

NCAA basketball was on and since we don't have a working tv right now, Stephen was thrilled that ESPN was streaming it live! So was I since I won both my picks that night! Aubrey and Mackenzie liked watching "football" (didn't matter what he said, she insisted it was football!) with Uncle Deedaa!

Today was our last day of babysitting David. He has been our buddy every Monday and Friday for the past few months and now his mommy gets to stay home since her new baby is due anyday!

They have become really good friends... she is going to miss her "Davin" and all of the silliness he brought to our house!

Lunch Time Smiles...

Completely Done!

God has been teaching me a lot recently about why I do what I do. It can be discouraging to sweep a floor only to have it covered in crumbs a few minutes later. Same for diapers, laundry, unmade beds, dirty carpets, etc. Having two little ones who und0 what I do all day can tempt me to feel like, "What's the point?"

But God is kind and I am encouraged by two things right now:

1) God has reminded me that I'm not doing this for the results, but I'm doing this to glorify Him in the moment. It is glorifying to my Heavenly Father for me to wipe their bottoms, clean their faces, make them meals, clean up their toys, and train them to honor their parents. It's not about me doing X and Y to get Z... I'm doing X and Y because it glorifies God for me to do it, not because I am guaranteed clean and respectful children.

2) Only God can and has accomplished what He set out to do. I was listening to this song today called, "Completely Done" and the chorus goes like this: The old is gone, The new has come, What you complete, Is completely done, We're heirs with Christ, The victory won, What you complete, Is completely done!

My to do list for the day will never be completely done. But God's to do list for me has already been completed! He has saved me and I am completely forgiven... that is something that can never be undone!

Praise God!

Daddy outside enjoying his girls...
Love those little teeth!
You try convincing a two-year-old they don't need to eat their popcorn with a spoon...

The sheer joy of a "big girl chair!"
Peanut butter crackers... making their Gamu proud!

Hello Sun!

First taste of a Fluffnutter!

She found this cute little seat all by herself!

Trying to share her fluff with her sister!

After our adventure of the picnic on the bench outfront yesterday, I learned a little lesson that keeping them contained and at a table is a lot easier and a LOT cleaner!

Loving this weather! Hope it stays!

She Can Say Yes!

I was letting her watch a video while I checked my email and I turned around when I heard her sweet little voice singing along. I just so happened to have my video camera on the desk next to me so I got the whole adorable thing! I pray that her heart does say "Yes" to Jesus

When Daddy's In Charge!

The other night Jake was working on hanging blinds in the girls room (we're hoping light filter blinds will make them sleep past 6:30...) and Aubrey was happily keeping him company. I was doing dishes and Mackenzie was reading to her babies and I thought life couldn't be sweeter... Then I hear Jake gasp... stutter... and exclaim, "Jul.... Jul.... you might want to bring a camera in here... and a good sense of humor!"

I had gotten Aubrey dressed on the floor and it was my fault for not putting the lid to the cornstarch back on... but come on... Jake was six feet from her the whole time!!

She scooted out of there so quick while I was taking pictures... making little paw prints all over her room, the hall and the kitchen! We laughed about it all night!

When we're not letting our children play in cornstarch, we like to read books to them...

Our trip to the library is one of our favorites in the week!

How I LOVE LOVE LOVE my girls!

And this is what happens to a poor little boy left to defend himself against two girls... poor guy... he didn't stand a chance!

I love watching David twice a week... he is going to be one missed little buddy by all of us come April! He is going to be a great big brother though, he is so kind and patient with Aubrey and so helpful to me! Maribeth and Bob are doing such a great job with him and I am enjoying the fruit of their hard work!

About Me

My photo
I am a sinner saved by grace and I married my best friend, Jake, in May 2005! God has blessed us with three adorable little girls that we get to raise together in a beautiful home in the most charming neighborhood in America! They are a joy to raise and continually make us aware of our need for a Savior! We are thankful the Lord did not leave us in our sin, but sent His Son Jesus to die in our place, bearing the just wrath of God that we deserved, and giving to us Christ's righteousness instead. Through His grace and forgiveness, we now are free to love Him who saved us and to extend the mercy we've been shown to each other. We pray our little ones will come to know Christ and that we will be faithful to proclaim the good news of Jesus to them not only with our words, but with our actions and our interactions with each other. So please enjoy reading about the Moon family, we're so glad you stopped by!
