Thanksgiving and Family Moments!

It's getting chilly, but the girls sometimes still feel inspired to create art on our porch! I have no idea what we were doing, but it looks like it was yummy!

The girls LOVED having their daddy home for 4 days straight! They spent a lot of time in this chair reading together...

Kenzie has been fighting her nap, but she's just not quite ready to give it up altogether!

Jake made us another amazing turkey this year!
Kenzie and Mommy LOVED the mashed potatoes he made!

Could any daddy be more loved??

See the wheels turning in her head...

What love!

Sharing her greatest treasures: Juice and "Silky"

Today the girls and I made "belly buttons"... you know where you melt the kisses on the pretzels and smoosh them with M&Ms on top? Kenzie was a big help with the unwrapping, Aubrey would just unwrap and pop them in her mouth before I could get there everytime!

Notice Aubrey's cheek... full of chocolate!

Finished and ready to ship to Matt Honsinger... along with some other goodies!

This was my mission of the day... I wanted to make Jake a count down for Christmas that was just for him! I labeled each day 1-25 and on the back of each card there is a surprise: something fun we are going to do that day, something I love about him, something I'm going to do for him, something I'm going to give him, something fun planned for the family. I think he'll be a big fan!

It just looks really pretty in our hall too... it needed something and this looks festive and blesses my hubby! I stole the idea from the dating diva's blog, so I can't take the credit, but it did take me at least 5 hours because of all the "help" around here! It was so cute this morning though, the girls were so into helping me cute and glue... each made their own "decorations" for daddy too!

Thanksgiving with Friends!

We had our caregroup over for Thanksgiving dinner this past Saturday and Mackenzie was very helpful before hand! She helped me make the breadsticks and the placemats!

All set up, just waiting for our friends to show up! Kenzie made the placemats with her little painted turkey hand and she even traced most of their names onto their placemats!

I forgot to take pictures of our actual feast, but it was a feast!!

We had so much fun playing the game "Ole" after dinner... it's a game where you have to figure out who is lying and who is telling the truth... that's the kind of godly caregroup we have!

For those who "got out" early in the game (I think they sabatoged cuz they really didn't want to play) there was Beatles' Rock Band going on in the other room.

Thanks to our dear "Miss Jules" and her beloved sister and friends, we were all able to enjoy the night kid-free. We love doing things together as families (see the post about pumpkin carving), but sometimes it is just really nice to be able to sit and eat a meal together and finish a conversation. Jules had 12 kids under the age of 8 that she was in charge of and she did an awesome job!!

Trick or Treat!

So... our girls think that their daddy has the BEST birthday ever! Why you ask? Because on Daddy's birthday they get to get dressed up and knock on all the neighbors doors and get candy!

Look at Kenzie go! She would point to the next house and say, "That looks like a good one, let's go there! I'll be the leader!" and she was off!
Aubrey found this pumpkin that was just about her size and fell in love!
There's big sister... taking charge!
Eating their spoils!

About Me

My photo
I am a sinner saved by grace and I married my best friend, Jake, in May 2005! God has blessed us with three adorable little girls that we get to raise together in a beautiful home in the most charming neighborhood in America! They are a joy to raise and continually make us aware of our need for a Savior! We are thankful the Lord did not leave us in our sin, but sent His Son Jesus to die in our place, bearing the just wrath of God that we deserved, and giving to us Christ's righteousness instead. Through His grace and forgiveness, we now are free to love Him who saved us and to extend the mercy we've been shown to each other. We pray our little ones will come to know Christ and that we will be faithful to proclaim the good news of Jesus to them not only with our words, but with our actions and our interactions with each other. So please enjoy reading about the Moon family, we're so glad you stopped by!
